He will succeed Jim Evers who has since retired. Pamela Lackey, the president of AT&T South Carolina announced the arrival of Ford and welcomed him to their team. Lackey said Ford brings on board massive experience and good understanding of the industry. She said those are some of his traits they will hope to capitalize on and help push their market dominance upwards.
“He brings a tremendous combination of technical expertise and local knowledge that will enable him to be an exceptional resource for the community as developments in communications technology continue to reshape nearly every aspect of our business and personal lives,” Lackey said in a press statement. “I am pleased to welcome Terrance to the External Affairs team.”

In accepting the appointment, Ford said he is up to the task and ready for the new challenge at AT&T.

Beginning with excellent quality of life, it brings together education, manufacturing and technology interests to spur innovation, create new opportunities, and drive economic growth,” he said. “I am looking forward to being involved in the day-to-day life of the community, helping customers capitalize on the benefits of the services we deliver while also helping our company make a lasting difference for individuals and families.”
