Comcast Cable has appointed Mary McLaughlin as the Senior Vice President of the company’s Beltway Region.
The region includes Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and parts of Delaware, North Carolina and West Virginia. In this role, McLaughlin will be the senior executive responsible for operations, network development, financial performance and the overall customer experience for more than two million customers and 5,000 employees.
In a press statement, the company said McLaughlin joins the region after serving the last five years as Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Western New England Region. She was pivotal in introducing cutting-edge technologies to customers and led her team to be recognized with one of Comcast’s highest internal honors as “Region of the Year.”
McLaughlin was also a widely respected, active leader in the community having served a two-year term as co-chair of The Governor’s Prevention Partnership (GPP), a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping Connecticut youth safe, successful and drug free, as well as on the Board of Directors for Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) and the Vermont Business Roundtable.
Kevin Casey, President of Comcast’s Northeast Division welcomed her appointment. “Mary is a proven, hands-on leader who cares deeply about her employees and customers and is always striving for excellence. Her passion and expertise will be instrumental in our efforts to transform the customer experience and deliver best-in-class products and services to our Beltway Region customers.” On her part, McLaughlin said she was ready to deliver with support of the wonderful team.
